Devon County Team
Both the Devon Premier and A team participate in the Inter-County Championships. These squads are picked by the County Team Manager and the A Team Manager. If players feel they would like to have a chance of being considered to represent Devon then a form can be downloaded here.
Both teams start in a round robin with
Cornwall and Somerset and teams play each other home and away. At the
end of the round robin stage the top two teams qualify for the main
inter-county championships knock out stage.
This year both Devon teams are participating in the ICC Rinks competition where four rinks are selected and they play rinks from other counties. Devon A reached the final but missed out on the final after finishing second in the group after wins against Kent and Northamptonshire. Devon Premier qualified for the finals day after victories against Dorset and Herefordshire. The went on to win the title after beating Essex in the final by 4 shots in the final.
Devon Premier topped the group after winning all four of their games and beat the West Midlands. However they lost 22-18 to Essex in the Semi Finals. Unfortunately Devon A finished third in what was a tight group and failed to make the main knockout stages.
